Policy for Customers residing outside India (International customers):
Dhoomkharidi.com will take "Full Responsibility" of your Order, if the Order has been shipped to any of the major cities, where they have used "Private Courier Companies" (eg. FedEx, Blue Dart, First Flight, AFL, DTDC, DHL,TNT etc.) to ship your order.
- We are offering worldwide delivery of our products.
- Courier companies do not deliver to P.O. Box address, so we request you to provide full street address with pin code / zip code and telephone / mobile number.
- Please note that residential shipments to USA & some other countries will be left at door if someone is not there to receive the package or no one answers the door bell.
We do not ship the products on Sundays and public holidays in India as our logistic partner does not pick-ups on those days.
- Once dispatching the order, if order / product will return to us because of incomplete address / wrong address then we are not responsible in such cases and we will not provide any refunds.
- Manufacturing issues and Publisher restrictions prevent us from shipping certain products to all geographical locations. Books from few publishers can only be sold and shipped to India. You'll be notified after placing your order if we're unable to ship specific items to the address you've selected. In case where the book can not be shipped to your location, you can chose a different location for shipping your books by email or you would be reimbursed the full amount.
- Shipping charge will be additional based on the weight of the selected products and delivery location. While checking out the items, you will be paying these charges based on approximate book weight and your location. Any +/- error in the weight does not give customer right to reclaim any of the shipping charges.
Shipment and Tracking details
- We will send you an email regarding the shipment of your order, as soon as the items are handed over to the Courier Company. These alert emails will contain the tracking number and Courier Company’s website detail.
- Tracking numbers for orders shipped might take 24 business hours to become active on the courier websites.
VAT & Custom Duties
- VAT / Custom Taxes and Import Duties are not in our control. They vary according to the rules of different countries and must be paid directly by the buyer. VAT / Custom Taxes and Import Duties are not included in our ordering process, but may be charged to you by your government.
- International customers are responsible for any customs or duty fees levied by their country. We have no control over these charges and cannot predict whether they will occur, as policies vary greatly from nation to nation.
- They are entirely your responsibility. The courier company may also charge some additional service charges over and above custom duty on case to case basis.
What if any Delays
- Times to ship mentioned on our website against each item are indicative and approximate values only and sometimes due to situations beyond our control, delays may occur. No refund, returns, replacement & exchange will be entertained for this reason.
- If, for any reason, there is going to be a delay in shipping because a item is out of stock or If there is an unusual delay in filling an order, we will notify you by e-mail.
- However any dates for delivery are approximate only and we are not liable for any delay in delivering your order or any part of it. We may choose to deliver your order in separate parts. In some cases we may offer refund to you for unfulfilled part of the order.
Customer need to first contact us by writing an email on [email protected] before returning any product. We will notify you the following steps in due time. If you will return the products before let us know the same, then we will not provide any refund.

- Customer need to bare the shipping cost while returning the products.
- We will not refund the shipping charges paid by you while purchasing the item.
- We will not refund the customs duties or taxes, if applicable, or paid by you at time of receiving the goods.
- At any point of time the refunds will not exceed the actual value of the goods.
- Any complaint with regards to the damage or stains or page or any other should be reported to us within 24 hrs of the receipt of the products. We may ask for digital picture of the same in order to review the same.
- In case of product return, we will issue refund once we receive the product back at our office.
For our customers based in India (Domestic Customers)
Following is our shipping policy:
1) Books are sent through following means:
a. Registered Book Post (INDIAN POSTAL SERVICES).
b. Domestic Courier Companies.
>There is NO online tracking currently available for book parcels sent by Registered Post or VPP. Delivery time through India Post normally takes longer And could extend to more than 2 weeks too for some locations & rare situations. Kindly be patient - inform us

• A shipping charge is applicable on all items at Dhoomkharidi.com. There is no minimum order value at Dhoomkharidi.com across any of our categories. At our bookstore, you can order books where the shipping period is between:
- 3 to 5 days for orders in Gujarat
- 5 to 7 days for orders outside Gujarat and sometimes more depending on the geographical location and Pin code.
• Shipment of items against an order is subject to availability and is at the sole discretion of Dhoomkharidi.com.
• The Shipping Address is where you wish to receive your order. It could be your home or office or any other valid address. You must submit your shipping address correctly to ensure the book reaches you promptly.
• Once any order and its payment are fully processed, we pack items for shipping. This is done with special care, so that they reach you in perfect condition. Our carrier delivers these items at the Shipping Address submitted by you while filling up the online order form.
• Shipping time is the time taken to deliver an order at a shipping address, after the order has been shipped out.
• We deliver the merchandise on given specific shipping address only & not in the hand of specific person. If recipient is not at the given address, the books are likely to be left with the neighbor along with an attached note. For the items delivered by the courier / speed post / registered post, their respective policies apply.
• We are not responsible for missed/late deliveries due to curfews, acts of government, acts of nature, holidays, incorrect addresses or acts of war.
• We reserve the right to deny our services to any sender, without any explanation..Dhoomharidi.com is not liable for more than the retail cost of item.
• We shall try our best for prompt delivery. However delayed/early delivery for whatever reason shall not entitle the user for any damages or compensation.
• In spite of full caution taken at the time of delivery, Dhoomkharidi.com will not be responsible for a wrong delivery if the receiver of the books at the address on the order form misappropriates, damages or fails to hand over the books to the person named on the order form and takes the item posing himself to be the correct person.
• Dhoomkharidi.com will deliver exactly the same items displayed on its web pages and from the same sources indicated. However, in certain unavoidable circumstances arising due to non availability of products from indicated sources, it reserves the right to change the source and deliver approximately similar kind of product. If similar kind of product is not available, Dhoomkharidi.com will inform the sender to change the order or wait until it becomes available.
